Guinea pigs are crazy animals, some people love them and others can’t stand them.
I’m the kind of person that loves guinea pigs, and when I noticed that mine was sleeping with his eyes open for the first time it crept me out! I wasn’t completely sure whether he was sleeping or not, but I eventually came to the conclusion that he was having a nap and nothing more. They rarely close their eyes, and that applies even to sleep. If yours is closing their eyes when they sleep you should be happy, as they feel like they’re in a safe place inside of your home.

Guinea pigs are weird like that. Not sure why they do it.. maybe they just are scared.
