If you are wondering if your rabbit can swim, the answer is yes it can.
Some rabbits are actually very strong swimmers. The main reason they swim is as a self-protection response to get away from a predator. They can also swim in case their burrow (a rabbits home underground) gets flooded.
Some people make the mistake of thinking rabbits enjoy swimming, when in fact they do not. Rabbits really do not enjoy getting wet, and in the wild they will only swim as a means to survival.
Rabbits are not accustomed to swimming, and in some cases, a rabbit can become so distressed by the energy needed to swim that they can have a heart attack.
